About us ACT212:
The ACT212 information and training center against human trafficking and sexual exploitation is a non-governmental association that is located in the city of Bern, Switzerland
The association has no political or religious affiliation and is exempt from taxes.
Stands for: taking action, cooperating and thematizing
On 2 December 1949 the UN-assembly signed the petition for the suppression of the traffic of persons and of the exploitation of the prostitution of others.
ACT212 fights to stop human trafficking within and outside Swiss borders. The ACT212 information center provides a hotline to meet inquiries and concerns regarding the issue of human trafficking and offers support by providing its expertise.
ACT212 seeks to:
- identify victims of human trafficking or sexual exploitation
- guarantee a comprehensive protection for victims
- achieve an effective punishment of perpetrators
Consulting & Training
ACT 212 organizes symposia and training days in collaboration with experts and like-minded organizations.
The association seeks to raise awareness in Switzerland and abroad on the issue of human trafficking and sexual exploitation through speeches and information campaigns.
Support and networking
ACT 212 operates a hotline that receives reports related to situations of trafficking and exploitation and relays them to the appropriate governmental and non-governmental institutions. Existing institutions and services in Switzerland are thereby connected and strengthened.
